Ascendant Terms of Use

Last updated 16 September 2026 ยท Ascendant is a product of Mistiq LLC.

By using Ascendant you agree to these terms. Please read them.

Using the app

Ascendant is a training tool. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial training. You agree not to misuse it, interfere with its operation, or try to access other people's accounts or data.

Not medical advice

Ascendant gives training and nutrition estimates, not medical advice. Lifting carries risk of injury. You train at your own risk. Talk to a doctor before starting a new program, especially if you have a health condition or an injury. Stop and seek help if something hurts.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for the activity on your account. Keep your information accurate so your rank and calorie estimates make sense.

Payments

Ascendant is not taking payments right now. Nothing in the app is for sale and you will not be charged. If you bought a subscription or the lifetime purchase earlier, it stays on your account. You can manage or cancel an earlier subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings, and refunds for earlier purchases are handled by the store you bought through, under its policies.

Your content

The training data you enter is yours. You give us permission to store and process it to run the app for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and data at any time from Settings.

Rank verification

A verified lift requires a genuine video of the lift, recorded in the app. Submitting false or manipulated verification, or otherwise gaming the ranking, may result in removal of a verification or an account.

Content you share with other users

Some parts of Ascendant let you share content with other people: a verification clip that other lifters review, a display name and an emblem on the leaderboards, and a gym name. You keep your rights to what you upload. You give Mistiq LLC permission to store it, show it to the lifters who review it, and show your leaderboard entry to other users, for as long as you choose to take part. You can delete a clip at any time, and turning the leaderboard toggle off removes you from the boards straight away. We delete verification clips on a schedule: an abandoned upload within a day, a rejected clip after 7 days, an approved clip after 30 days. The verification itself remains, the video does not.

You must only upload video of yourself lifting, filmed by you. Do not upload anyone else's video, and do not upload anyone who has not agreed to be filmed.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour in anything you share here. That includes nudity or sexual content, violence, hateful or harassing content, content that targets a person or a group, impersonation, illegal content, and spam. It also includes display names and gym names.

Every clip and every public profile can be reported from inside the app, with a reason, and you can block another user at any time, which hides you from each other. Three things then happen, and the first two are automatic:

Write to privacy@mistiq.org to report something, to chase a report, or to appeal a decision.

You accept these content terms in the app before your first upload.

Changes and availability

We may update the app and these terms. We may change, pause, or stop features. We aim to keep the app running but we do not guarantee it will always be available or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Mistiq LLC is not liable for injury, loss, or damages arising from your use of the app, including from training decisions you make using it. The app is provided as is.

Consumer health data

Washington, Nevada and similar laws require a separate policy for consumer health data. Ours is here: Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. It lists exactly what health data we hold, who receives it, and confirms we do not sell it.
